If you ask me today what I consider one of the foremost benefits of prayer, I’d say is…divine information.

Our lives are not to be left to chance.

The supernatural life is not subject to trial and error. It is a life of accuracy and precision of decisions and steps.

You see, if we develop a culture of prayer, we will not miss divine timings, because in prayers, we put off our sensual cloak, and our seeings and knowings are on high alert. We are able to know what to do and where to be before it is time. We approach every phase of God’s plan for our lives fully ready and prepared.

The enemy will no longer take us by surprise.

Many of us only do reactionary prayers.

We become aware of the enemy is doing only after he has done it. This is insultive. It ought not to be. The believer ought to be able to see ahead.

There was a time in Israel when the enemy’s camp was put in disarray. Whenever they were planning an attack on Israel, the Prophet Elisha would pick the information and relay it to the king of Israel, thus putting Israel at a great advantage in battle. The king was bewildered.

2 Kings 6:11-12 KJVS

Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel? [12] And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.

See that?

The Prophet tells the king of Israel what you say in your bedchamber. Now, that’s something!

So you see, we can actually know whatever the enemy is planning before they execute it and frustrate it right there. We can’t be reactionary! How about keeping the enemy totally off your gates, instead of always repelling his attacks?

The man of prayer is never taken by surprise by the enemy. He knows ahead and foils the plan.

That man also is never taken by surprise by what God is doing. He knows ahead and aligns himself accordingly.

When it come to Spiritual things, information is very crucial and pivotal, and we access this easily as we give ourselves to prayer.

Don’t be in the dark.

Pray.

Blessed.
